Instant support features
Phone mode enables an end user
to directly enter the session key to start a support session with a
support representative. The end-user can also enter the session
key directly in to the client software if the client software (a small
executable) is available on the end-user's computer.
Email mode enables a support
representative to send a support invitation email to end users
by using his own email software or by directly entering the end user's
email address in to the RemotePass support software.
Web mode enables an end user to enter the session key into your support website to start a
support session with a support representative.
Support agent toolkit
File transfer enables your
representative to instantly exchange files, folders or a combination of
files and folders. The representative can also apply patches or send
URLs and updates to the end user or receive log files from the end user.
Chat enables representatives to
interact with end users via chat which can lower handling time for less
complex incidents. Add pre-scripted messages or URLs to reduce response
time for frequently asked questions.
Session recording enables a
support representative to record parts of a session or an entire session
to analyze afterwards or to use for documentation and argumentation.
RemotePass also features a built-in recorded session player enabling you
to already view and playback recorded parts of previous sessions or the
current active session.
Remote pc info and control
instantly shows all important information about the remote user's
computer like CPU type and speed, memory size and usage, hard disks size
and free space, installed software and service pack level,... You can
also start/stop services and processes remotely.
Disable remote wallpaper disables
the wallpaper of the end user's computer. When the session ends,
the wallpaper will re-enable automatically. You can set this option to
disable the end user's wallpaper automatically at the start of every
session.
Task manager shows the task
manager of the end user's computer to quickly diagnose and analyse
software and computer problems.
Reboot and auto reconnect reboots
the end user's computer and automatically reconnects again when the end
user has logged on to his desktop after the reboot.
Full control and view only mode:
When the remote user connects, he can choose between GRANT FULL CONTROL
or GRANT VIEW ONLY. By selecting VIEW ONLY mode, the support
representative can ony watch his screen and chat. During the session
the remote user can still grant full control or switch back to view only
mode by hitting the "F4" button as many times as needed to ensure that
the end user is in control in every situation.
Print remote screen takes a
screenshot of the end user's screen and sends it to the support
representative's computer. The representative can choose a local or
network printer to which he wants to print.
Clipboard transfer enables the
support representative to copy his clipboard to the clipboard of the end
user and also to copy the end user's clipboard to his/her clipboard.
This can be very handy if you need to copy/paste a text or bitmap from
or to the end user's computer.
Safe screenshot to desktop takes
a screenshot of the remote computer and automatically creates a .JPG
file from this screenshot on your local desktop.
Full screen mode switches the
software to full screen mode and it will look like you are working on
your own pc instead of the remote computer. It features a hidden button
bar on the top of the represenative's screen that automatically appears
as soon as the mouse cursor touches the top of the screen.
Screen scaling features a
one-click rescale of the end-user's screen to fit your window without
changing the remote computer's screen resolution or display settings.
The representative can choose between maximum or proportional
screen scaling.
Ergonomic auto-hide toolbar:
RemotePass features an ergonomic and auto-hide toolbar that can be
placed on the top, bottom, right and left side of your application
window. With just one click, you can set the auto-hide function to use
the whole surface of your application window.
Send CTRL-ALT-DEL allows you to
send the CTRL-ALT-DEL keystrokes to the remote computer from one single
mouse click.
Switch resolution allows the
support representative to instantly switch the end user's screen
resolution to one of the available screen resolutions on the
end user's computer. The original resolution settings of the end
user's computer will be automatically restored at the end of the support
session.
Switch colors allows the support
representative to instantly increase or decrease the end user's computer
color settings. The original color settings of the end user's
computer will be automatically restored at the end of the support
session.
Optimal performance wizard allows
the support representative to set all of his application settings to
optimal performance. This can be real handy if the support
representative has to support an end user with a very slow internet
connection to use the maximum performance available.
Whiteboard enables the support representative to draw any figure, shape and text on
the remote user's desktop in any size, color, etc... for quick & easy
illustration, demonstration and training of remote user's.
Tools for managers
Real-time account management: The
support manager can create, remove, disable and enable support
representative accounts in real-time and define roles or set permissions
on every account.
Real-time enterprise reporting and traffic
analysis: The support manager can export all session reports
to Microsoft Word and Excel directly from the Account management system.
He can also anlayze and diagnose session traffic in real-time.
Session archiving: allows the
support manager to easily view all remote-support sessions diagnostics
from the RemotePass server for security, support-desk optimization and
training purposes.
General features
Supports all Western European languages:
Both the representative's software and end user's client software are
available in all Western European languages from the same application.
The support representative's software can switch from one language to
another in real-time. The support representative can choose the
language of the session setup website and client software for each new
support session. The session setup website is also dynamically
supported in all Western European languages. Supported languages
are: English, French, German, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, Catalan and
Portuguese.
Customizable and integrated support website:
The session setup website is completely customizable to be consistent
with your companies website's identity. You can upload your logo, adjust
text and background colors and display a link to your own website.
You can also integrate the website completely in to your corporate
website's support section.
Connection performance and stability
control: RemotePass has built-in connection performance and
stability control for both the representative's and end user's software.
The representative's software shows a progress bar that indicates the
connection quality for both computers towards the RemotePass servers on
the internet. When the one of both connections becomes unstable or less
performant, you will see this indicated in real-time. Even when both
computers are completely disconnected from the internet, RemotePass will
show the bad connection status and will wait until both internet
connections restore to continue the session.
