Employees are entitled to 60% of their salary from their employers for the first 14 days of sick leave. From day 15, the government assumes responsibility for payment, but employers are still required to collect medical certificates from the employees, retain relevant records, and make reports to the authorities.
Paid maternity leave can be for up to 28 weeks (37 weeks in the case of multiple births), 14 weeks of which must be taken.
