On Boarding

Onboarding refers to the process of integrating new employees into an organization.

Onboarding or organizational socialization is the mechanism through which new employees acquire the necessary knowledge, skills, and behaviors in order to become effective organizational members and insiders. Usually the first few weeks at a new job are considered an on-boarding period, where the new hire is introduced to the team, the organization, and their responsibilities. It is the employer’s responsibility to provide a thorough orientation.
