Paternity leave

Five days are given to the father, to be taken within two months of childbirth. In addition, the father may also take unpaid leave until the child reaches 3 years of age.

Notice Period

A 30-day notice period must be provided, but this period must extend by the following days depending on the duration of employment.

  • 5 days after 3 years of work
  • 15 days after 5 years of work
  • 20 days after 8 years of work
  • 25 days after 10 years of work
  • 30 days after 15 years of work
  • 40 days after 18 years of work
  • 60 days after 20 years of work

Severance Pay

The severance pay depends on the duration of employment:

  • 3 years of work: 1 month pay
  • 5 years of work: 2 months pay
  • 10 years of work: 3 months pay
  • 15 years of work: 4 months pay
  • 20 years of work: 5 months pay
  • 25 years of work: 6 months pay
  • In addition, if the employee has been terminated within 5 years of their eligibility for old age pension, the severance pay is increased by 3 months.
Probation Period

The duration of the probation period must be stated in the contract; no maximum duration is stipulated by law.
